Installing staging builds

Ad Hoc install links for staging builds, and how long they stick around.

The install link

Once a staging build finishes, pkgr.app hosts the signed artifact itself and shows an "Install" button on the build's detail page. Open that page on the target device to install over the air — no cable, no store submission. Production builds aren't hosted this way; see below.

Artifact retention

Hosted staging artifacts are kept for a plan-based window, then deleted automatically: 7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, 90 on Pro, unlimited on Enterprise. The build detail page shows "Available until <date>" while it's live. Once that date passes, the install button reverts to its default state — trigger a new build to get a fresh, installable artifact.

Production artifacts

Production builds aren't copied into pkgr.app's own storage — they exist only as the GitHub Actions run's artifact, subject to GitHub's own retention window. Download the signed binary from the build's detail page while that underlying artifact is still available on GitHub's side.
